Levels of Service and Asset Lives

An Asset Management Plan requires that assets be graded for performance as well as condition. Fundamental to this is the requirement for performance grades to be underpinned by objective levels of service criteria and consistent asset lives.

The attached paper provides practical guidance on how to define LoS for a water utility and gives indicative asset lives for a range of assets.
